Leading the transition to MozFest Virtual gave me the chance to reimagine a long-standing event for a global, digital audience.

Across three years, we built an interactive, community-first experience that welcomed over 10,000 participants — with some regions seeing a 2000% increase in attendance. The project earned back-to-back Webby Award nominations and became a model for how large-scale events can stay open, accessible, and deeply participatory online.

I led the overall strategy for transitioning MozFest into a virtual format, overseeing both technical delivery and creative direction — from platform selection and livestream workflows to designing inclusive engagement formats. The goal was to ensure every part of the experience reflected Mozilla’s values of openness, participation, and community leadership. MozFest Virtual remains one of the most impactful and ambitious projects I’ve led.
